HOUSING ADIVICE AND SUPPORT OFFICER
Housing Advice and Support Officer
Based in Sutton, London
We seek motivated and talented people to join our team. To be considered and be successful in the role, the ideal candidate must demonstrate proven experience of supporting vulnerable people and developing and implementing high quality, person centred support plans.
Housing Management experience in a supported housing environment
Experience with youth work or motivating and inspiring others to reach goals
Experience working with vulnerable people and understanding their needs
Working knowledge of relevant legislation, specifically Children’s Act, Anti-Social Behaviour and Housing legislation
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Able to think on your feet and respond appropriately when incidences occur
Good understanding of support plans
Advice and Support Officers inspire and guide young service users to improve their life skills, self management and self confidence, whilst on their journey to sustainable independent living. They develop trusted, professional relationships while helping young people to plan and achieve their goals. To ensure our work impacts positively on young people, we operate with core Competencies which outline what ‘good’ behaviour is which include ‘taking responsibility and action’, ‘building effective partnerships’ and ‘analysing information’.
